Victoria Joan (DuBovi) Willet, 72, went home to be with the Lord and those who have gone before her on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Vicki was born to Andrew and Lydia DuBovi and grew up in Dolton, IL. She graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. She acquired her teaching license and spent most of her teaching career at J.D. Darnall High School (now known as Geneseo High School) in Geneseo, IL. Later, she earned a master's degree, plus additional graduate hours. Vicki enjoyed teaching math for over 30 years. She found it especially rewarding when her former students would share how her teaching positively impacted their lives.

Vicki led an active lifestyle raising two children who were involved in many sporting and school events. When time permitted, she tutored students in math. After retiring, she moved to be closer to her son and grandchildren in Tacoma, WA.

She is survived by her sons, Benjamin (Megan) Willet and Jacob Willet, and she was blessed with grandchildren, Mary and Hank, who she loved and treasured.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Andrew and Lydia. She is survived by six siblings along with nine nephews and nieces.

Vicki will be remembered for her beautiful smile, laughter, determination, and quick wit. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home (Tacoma, WA) on Friday, January 25th at 12pm.

A Celebration of Life for Vicki will be held at a date to be determined in the Chicagoland area.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
