Joel Allen Brewster

Joel A. "Joey" Brewster, 51, of Galva, passed away at 1:05 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at OSF St. Francis, surrounded by loving family. He was born on May 16, 1972, in Galesburg, the son of Lynda (Doss) and Gary Anderson.

Surviving Joel are his daughter, Tia Brewster of Yukon, OK; grandson, Damon Reese; adopted son, Dalton Brewster; parents, Lynda and Gary Anderson of Toulon; brother, James Brewster of Moline; nephew, Frankie Doss; step siblings, Ehrin and Shauna Anderson; and a step niece, Harmony Stauth. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joe Brewster; and a brother, John Doss.

Joey loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed motorcycles and having a beer with his buddies. He owned and operated his own handyman business, Brewsters N' Stuff. His generosity will be remembered in the way he helped others through his work and through being an organ and tissue donor.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Road Trip Food & Spirits in Galva at 3:00 p.m. A memorial has been established at the State Bank of Toulon at the Toulon, Kewanee, and Galva location, so he may have a park bench at the park district in his memory.
